“La Vache dans les Vignes” Wine Bar (10e)
Nestled along the lovely Canal St Martin sits La Vache dans les Vignes, a neighborhood wine bar specializing in boutique style wine and cheese pairings. The two friends who own the shop, the “wine guy” and the “cheese guy”, welcome you into this friendly atmosphere to enjoy a glass of wine and cheese or charcuterie plates, all while watching the passers-by.
Le Rubis Wine Bar (1er)
Situated in the heart of the 1st Arrondissement, just steps away from the Tuileries Garden and next door to Place Vendôme, Le Rubis Wine Bar is surprisingly an absolute neighborhood joint. Amidst all of the tourist-driven hustle and bustle in the area, Le Rubis still offers a taste of “authentic” Paris. The modest room is frequented mainly by locals who live or work nearby. Behind the counter are the madame and monsieur who seem to have been there a very long time, as everyone who walks through the door seems to know them…
Wine by One Wine Bar (8e)- CLOSED
If you are looking for the place to meet with friends for casual conversation or before a fun-filled night out on the town, Wine by One is definitely “the one”.
“Les Fines Gueules” Wine Bar (1er)
Housed in an elegant space of a historic 17th century building near the renowned Palais Royale, Les Fines Gueules offers a cozy and relaxed setting to enjoy a glass of wine and if you so desire, some charcuterie (assortment of cured meats, pâté, bread, and cheese). The wine bar is also just down the street from Galeries Vivienne and Place des Victoires and makes for a perfect stop after hours spent strolling and window shopping.
Ô Chateau Wine Bar (1er)
Ô Chateau for me is like an old friend. It was here that I was first introduced to the Parisian wine bar experience, and from the very beginning, I felt a connection right away. I say it reminds me of an old friend because since then, every time I go to the City of Light, this is one of the places I make sure to stop by and pay a visit to say hello.
Pain. Vin. Fromages (4e)
The aromas coming from Pain. Vin. Fromages, while literally about 1/2 a block away, are especially captivating and tempting to say the least. In fact, this is how I found the cozy family-style restau (as the French call restaurants) owned by two brothers in the Marais district.
