Dubrovnik & Montenegro Wine Bars
Are you or someone you know planning a trip to Dubrovnik? If so, and you are a wine lover (or not) be sure to stop by one of these wine bars, if anything for the stunning views. These were my favorites.
Day trip to Montenegro
During my stay in Dubrovnik, I took a day trip to Montenegro which is only about an hour or so away by bus (or car if you choose to rent a car). You’ll find a number of tour companies online, at the tourist information center, as well as independent kiosks on the street offering daily…
Day Trip to the Archipelago
A highlight for me during this trip was a visit to Dubrovnik’s archipelago, the Elaphite islands. This is a group of islands situated to the northwest of Dubrovnik, the majority of them uninhabited. However, visitors have the opportunity to visit three of them- Lopud, Šipan, and Koločep and experience true Dalmatian island life.
Dubrovnik Sunset
Photographing sunsets for me is not always so easy. But these are a few pics that I thought came out nice and captured the moment. The photos were taken from the mountain top and using the Dubrovnik cable car ride to go up.
Dobrodošli (Welcome) to Dubrovnik!

Cru Wine Bar at the Avalon
No pretentiousness. No “wine snobbism” with pinkies extended in the air. This wine bar is all about cool and casual. Located at the Avalon in the heart of Alpharetta, Cru presents a multitude of wines by the glass, wine flights as well as a food and wine pairing experience all in an elegant but hip atmosphere.
A Taste of France at Savor Wine Boutique
Situated in the heart of the Kirkwood neighborhood of Decatur is this charming haven for wine lovers. Savor Wine Boutique shares with the community “slow” wines from well-known regions (e.g. Europe, South America, and South Africa) but from small, lesser-known producers. What is a “slow” wine one might ask?
From Food Trucks to Haute Cuisine
By no means am I a culinary expert. I have nowhere near the training or experience to consider myself a food or restaurant critic. But how can one go to Paris and not talk about food, right? In the past, with the exception of “take away” foods such as falafels, quiches, or sandwiches…
