Fort Myers at Sunset

Just about 45 minutes from Sanibel Island and/or from Naples, Fort Myers is an easy day trip for visitors to either one of those popular South Florida destinations. Fort Myers is known for its beaches, fishing, shopping, and the opportunity to learn about two of the nation’s most famed inventors and business leaders- Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. There is also art & entertainment, including a murder mystery dinner train where an on-board chef prepares a five course meal. The downtown riverfront area is quaint, walkable, and has cozy bistro-style restaurants with atmosphere and good food.
