Sports Time

Sporting events here are HUGE. Imagine an entire country behind one team. The energy is overwhelming. One really fun way to mingle with the locals is by going to a local venue to watch the game. Places everywhere are packed! For example, tonight was the football (soccer) match between Italy and Spain. The enthusiasm of the fans was amazing! Street vendors lined the major boulevards. Public transport such as the metro and trams were filled to capacity as people headed to the piazza to watch the game on a big screen. This was so much fun and as mentioned earlier, a great way to be out and about with the locals 🙂
