Asheville Wine Bars

Asheville, North Carolina….While this quaint and charming town is best known for the spectacular Biltmore House, formerly the Châteauesque-style country home of the Vanderbilt family, Downtown Asheville is a fun attraction in itself. There you’ll find inviting cafes, chocolate boutiques, restaurants, shops and even a few wine bars, all within walking distance of one another. Here are a couple of places worth checking out during your next trip to the area.

5 Walnut Wine Bar– 5 Walnut St, Asheville, NC 28801

5 Walnut is a neighborhood wine bar that offers a casual and friendly setting for tasting wines of many regions across the globe. The nightly live music is just as eclectic as the wine list and includes soul, rock, jazz and Latin rhythms. Owner, Matt Logan collaborated with local artisans and together they created this homey interior with custom furniture pieces including the bar stools, cocktail tables, bar, and painted mural. 5 Walnut continues to work together with local artists and supports the Black Mountain College Museum and Art Center public art projects as well as local gallery exhibits.
