Wine Shop at Le Bon Marché (7e)

Le Bon Marché is one of the grands magasins (the great or large department stores) as well as the oldest department store (since 1838) in Paris. In fact, part of its design was done in collaboration with the firm of Gustave Eiffel, the one and only who designed the Eiffel Tower!

La Grande Épicerie
38 Rue de Sèvres
75007 Paris

Well, just across the street is La Grande Épicerie, the food hall of Le Bon Marché, because of course no department store in Paris is complete without food and wine! The state of the art wine shop occupies almost an entire floor downstairs in the cellar. The other section is a restaurant where not only can you sample wines by the glass, but also have a pairing of small bites to enjoy with the wine. The style is modern with sleek, curvy shelves displaying a vast array of wines by region and even by sub-region. Temperature-controlled coolers maintain wines at perfect conditions. Don’t miss complimentary tasting events every Saturday starting at 3pm. And the best part….as high-end as this store is, surprisingly, you’ll find wines as low as around 10 euros
